A new international trailer for INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS has popped up online and once again our friends overseas have out done us. This is the best footage I've seen from the movie yet and it just has a certain joie de vivre (an odd choice of words given the material) that the US trailers have lacked. Of course it may not be entirely representative of the film itself but judged purely on its own merits, it's the bees knees (though I could've done without the PULP FICTION font). QT has always walked that tightrope between violence and comedy. i find pulp fiction at times is just as funny as it is violent.

kill bill 2 didn't sit too well for me. shame cuz i loved kil bill 1.

i actually did notice that but failed to mention it earlier when i first saw it for fear that the overzealous QT fan base would roast me for not knowing he was already in this movie.

That the actor playing the Brit at the beginning is Mike Myers.

I predict this isn't just Quentin's WWII flick, but also his comedy. Not that his movies aren't consistently funny in a very dark way ofte...

Not that his movies aren't consistently funny in a very dark way often (the ear chopping scene, while gruesome, is pretty dang funny in a very twisted way), but this one looks like it's got a bit more of a comedy twist in it that his norm.

Now I KNOW that's a Tarantino movie. While the second domestic trailer threw in some nods to spaghetti westerns and the like, this one really drives home what it's all about (the first just felt like a bad horror movie).

Certainly the best trailer for this film I have seen thus far. I still have reservations about it, because Tarantino seems to have lost it. But, I will still be there to watch it.
