Courtesy of USA Today we have our first official look at Robert Downey, Jr. as Tony Stark. Here he is in his lab working on his armor. Notice the implant in his chest keeping his heart working. Not bad. I'm all for this movie and it doesn't give me any of the heebie-jeebies that GHOST RIDER or some of these other recent Marvel adaptations have. Heck, pretty much every actor in this thing is Oscar nominated so it should be pretty damn good. Check out the pic below and click on it to head to USA Today and read their article and interview with Downey.

I mean, if he is doing business, it would look stupid to have a huge lump coming from your chest. Rofl! Frankly, im impressed from what i see from the picture. I hope they focus a realilistic but bas ass look for the suit. I also wonder if they are going to take some story from that straight to dvd cartoon movie where he is held hostage to invent a weapon but invents Iron Man instead. Consider me on board for this one to rock hard!

You also have Jon Favreau at the helm of this. Now he hasn't done a ton of directing, but this guy I can trust. Ghost Rider... you're holding out for a great movie from the "genius" behind Daredevil & Elektra.
