At the tail end of quite an in-depth interview Roger Ebert recently conducted with Spike Lee, the Clint Eastwood antoganizer mentioned that George Lucas has decided not to direct his long-in-the-works drama RED TAILS, his Tuskegee Airmen biopic, and will instead leave that to up and coming director Anthony Hemingway. Lucas will, of course, produce and is looking to get going on it this Spring. He didn't mention anything else beyond that but it's at least good to know that Lucas has decided to be involved in things not prefaced by "A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away&hellip:" Unless, of course, he decides to do an adaptation of the recently released video game "The Force Unleashed" because, by all accounts, that game kicks some serious ass.
Extra Tidbit:
Hemingway has directed episodes of "The Wire", "Battlestar Galactica", "ER" and lots more.
