So we just stumbled across 17 pics of the Daren Lynn Bousman directed rock horror opera REPO! THE GENETIC OPERA, some of which you've probably seen before but a lot of which are brand spanking new. The film is set in a future in which goth rules the fashion of the times, organ repossession is a violenty savage reality and everyone's inclined to express their feelings in song. God this probably eight kinds of horrible... I mean it's masterminded by the Saw guy so that can't be good. It's got Paris Hilton so that can't be good. It looks somewhat awful...so that can't be good. And yet it's go...

Last I heard Repossession Mambo was getting very bad responses from the last screening. They might go back, re-cut it and re-film some scenes.

Repo! is still getting rave reviews, (I have yet to locate a bad review of this film), and that's what counts. It's only a shame that the suits at Lionsgate have opted for such a small opening. I'd hate to think we'll have a situation here close to the whole The Descent/The Cave thing from 2005, where people begin to confuse the original film with its lame imitator.

Repossession Mambo might just get a wider opening and become better known despite being little more than a hollow copy of Repo!; Universal has opted for bigger name actors rather than people who can actually sing (Anthony Head, Sarah Brightman) like Repo!.
