Somewhere, The Arrow is a very happy man right now. Sylvester Stallone has just signed a two-picture deal to produce, star and direct in two films for Nu Image/Millennium, the company behind RAMBO. And lucky for us, because Nu Image/Millennium signed an interim agreement with the WGA, production on the films can begin as soon as Stallone decides on a project. Right now Stallone and producers have not decided what either of the films would be but you can bet another RAMBO offering would certainly be one of the contenders. What you probably won't see if Stallone's rumored Edgar Allen Poe film as these projects were specifically marked as "action films" (though an Edgar Allen Poe action movie would certainly be interesting). One possibility that intrigues me is taking John Rambo into another genre. I heard Stallone mention somewhere (and of course now I can't find it) that he briefly flirted with the idea of doing a sci-fi RAMBO movie. Now would RAMBO VS. PREDATOR be completely insane or would that just be me? Although the original PREDATOR was very much a RAMBO VS. PREDATOR kinda movie. I guess my question to the readers would be whether you'd be interested to see John Rambo hop from a realistic world into a fantasy one or whether that breach of continuity would piss you off royally. And what would you like to see Stallone work on next?

Extra Tidbit: RAMBO's budget was a surprising $50 million.

lets get stallone, arnie (in a cameo) and bruce "what u talkin' bout" willis together, in a remake of my 3 dads, where they take on evil muscle guys played by jean claude van dammage, the rock, and super secret martial artist pony-tailed guy whose films also had 3 words in the title.

then, the sequel to this could take place in the u.k, where vinnie jones and some brit baddies could kidnap the, screw it, never mind...

Please, Sly, don't waste your time on a stupid remake of Death Wish. Please, just don't. If you feel the need to remake that movie just remember one thing: Get Carter. Although I actually enjoyed that movie, it did fail both critically and commercially. So if you feel the urge to remake Death Wish, just remember how Get Carter went.

Cool news, would love another Rambo flick but want it to be a bit longer. This one should needed one more action sequence. Love the watch he wore in this film looked one mean mother.

I would love a new Rambo where he's back in the US along the lines of First Blood but with the mostly realistic mayhem of the newest film.

After AVP and that DIE HARDEST garbage, RAMBO was an awesome sigh of relief. My friend and I agreed that only the talented Stallone seems to have the motivation, influence, and funds to truly reboot the 80's. I don't think an AVP would tread on Schwarzenegger territory, either, considering that (as of now) that franchise can't touch PREDATOR.

So how about it, Sly? Bring back our favorite movie monsters? To quote my cohort, "the movie should be called, ALIENS VS. PREDATOR: I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF THIS SH*T."

Directed by: Sly Stallone

Since Sly has the amazing tendency of ending franchises on the perfect note, and since he is good friends with Bruce Willis...why not? The action sequences in RAMBO are far better than those in LIVE FREE OR DIE HARD; it just felt like so much more effort was put in to it. I mean, what is a DIE HARD movie with out that much blood?

I'm sure Stallone would be able to either play the villain or his partner in dine...I mean crime.

I loved RAMBO. This is the kind of war movie I'm interested in seeing right now- Good, bloody, escapism where an iconic hero provides a wish-fulfillment against real evils of our world. I stress the word REAL here because the key to John J Rambo's survival in the pop lexicon is that as outlandish as some of the scenarios he was placed in, he was always up against a very real enemy that we, the audience, had a desire to see punished- be it a hick, bully sheriff, the Viet Cong, Cold War Russians, or Burmese gorillas.
Rambo V would be beyond welcomed in my book. In fact, I'd love to see Brian Dennhey's Sheriff Will Teasle return at some point. I always felt Rambo had unfinished business in that town, even if it's just one scene where he rolls into Hope and finally gets that meal that kick-started this whole saga. Of course, the now retired Teasle would just happen to be seated and enjoying his grits and coffee. Then he looks up to see the ex-Green Beret standing before him. When the sheriff pushes away from the table, we see he has spent his life in a wheelchair since Rambo's last visit. That's the kind of material I want to see Rambo mixed up in. Throwing him into a different genre is a HUGE mistake and Stallone is much too savvy not to see that. But again, if he wants to return Rambo to the more fantasy action hero he was in part 2 and 3, against a real threat like the Taliban, or some extremist/terrorist group within our own borders- I'm there. Welcome home, John!

And anything with Rambo doing what he does best, I will take. He is the man!
He can fight Hannah Montana in 3D and I will pay for that.

Rambo was the most violent movie I have seen in a [link] I loved it
