There's no denying that Michael Bay's TRANSFORMERS 2: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN is a box office juggernaut, but let's be honest, that's about all it is. Oh wait. According to critics like Peter Travers of Rolling Stone, it's also "beyond bad, it carves out its own category of godawfulness." Oh and Robert Wilonsky of The Village Voice thinks it's "a bewildering, noisy, sloppy, cynical piece of work." I did not go to TF2 to see an Oscar winning movie, but I did want to see an action/adventure film with a coherent plot. Not a deep plot, just one that flowed well.
And I also wanted robots that I could tell apart from each other.

I just don't get the hatred about this movie, its a 2 1/2 hr movie and most of the stuff in the movie people are bitch about barely take up five minutes, and the twins were harmless. The plot how hard is it to follow. About the only things I didn't like were the female robot (pointless), and the robot heaven scene was kinda cheesey, but overall i enjoyed the film very much.

Let's break it down. As we all know, IMDb has a memorable quotes section. A lot of the time, users will actually submit "memorable quotes" in their best definition.

But the problem is, whenever a new movie comes out, users are so fuckin' keen on posting ANY qu...
Oh fuckin' hilarious. Let's blame IMDb and a lot of its moronic users who submit these kinds of things in.

Let's break it down. As we all know, IMDb has a memorable quotes section. A lot of the time, users will actually submit "memorable quotes" in their best definition.

But the problem is, whenever a new movie comes out, users are so fuckin' keen on posting ANY quotes from the trailers/spots, just to needlessly fill up the section. You know how you can tell (evidenced above)? Because they're littered with "[from trailer]" markings.

So certain IMDb users are beyond fuckin' stupid for submitting what you see above (the majority of the dialogue in the trailers, which by the way, are only there because the marketing strategy clearly didn't need to go heavy into dialogue). Then the IMDb admins are equally fuckin' stupid for accepting these submissions and accepting them as "memorable quotes", when in actuality, they are just the only bits of dialogue given in the trailers.

T2:RotF has been out a week. Let other users submit ACTUAL quotes from the movie, the [from trailer] ones will disappear, and then people will have one less half-assed reason to bash another kickass Michael Bay summer action blockbuster.

How this somehow constitutes "movie news" is an insult to this website and only lowers its level down to the idiots who submit the quotes in the first place, and the admins who accept them. That is all.

Boring movie
The movie was BORING. Barely any action, explosions, fighting, etc. And most importantly, there wasnt any Transformers in this movie called "Transformers". It was 2.5 hours of humans walking around telling "jokes". It should have been called "The Shia Leboof and Freinds Happy Hour!!!" FUCK.

I was watching bits from the first Bay Transformers movie yesterday while it was being screened at a video store (in HD on Plasma btw, so it looked amazing) and I have to admit that if not for the quality of the first film, it's a little, just a little slow compared to the new one.

Sure, the new one's garbage. But it's awesome garbage. Very awesome garbage. Shitcrazy story, awes...

Such sentiments only serve to handicap the film and I don't see why audiences should choose to lower their expectations just because a film has a large budget, has plenty of explosions, comes out during a warm season, & because it's directed by Michael fucking Bay!

I think that all us Internet fanboys need to get over the fact that this movie is not simply made for 20 to 30 year old geeks who grew up on a cartoon. This movie is made to be enjoyed by kids as well, and by doing so it dumbed down the humor a little too much, but hey - GET OVER IT ALREADY!

So to me, it was a tad juvenile and not as good as the first, but it was still a very entertaining movie.

I walked out of there with a HUGE grin,the audience applauded, I saw the first screening on the morning of opening day, so it was obviously people really excited about it. I didn't expect it to be a comedy as much as it was, but man, Mama was comic relief GOLD. I really don't get how anyone came into this so seriously. It's about alien robots that turn into ca...

I seriously think that Michael Bay was watching the Phantom Menace and thought to himself " That Jar Jar character is so deep and emotional...I must have two characters equally as deep and as emotional in my own film" Hence the twins were born. Worst characters ever. Even the writers are denying credibility for this garbage.

I haven't bothered with the sequel, thanks to more or less across-the-board disdain by everyone who came to appreciate good popcorn fun that also included mildly coherent storyline. But I'm quickly tiring of all the articles picking apart what went wrong with this movie.

So at the very least, I don't need to hear what every other film critic had to say AGAIN.

People who say this movie was good or call others "sheep" because they supoosedly listen to critics make me laugh. Let it be known I enjoyed this movie. Does that make it good? Hell the fuck no. As a matter of fact, aside from the effects it is actually atrocious. Some of the worst dialogue. Some stupid moments(transformer turns into a person?). It was exactly what I expected. It had badass act...

Honestly, most movies that bring in gigantor numbers it's opening weekends are usually fluffy tripe. And all time numbers aren't much better.

Money means what? Sequels, sequels and more sequels... if they aren't already sequels. Titanic and ET are the only ones that didn't spawn sequels, or were sequels themselves.

Just because you love something others hate doesn't make it less "good". Or bad. I think it's hilarious how everyone's getting their panties in a bind. I didn't like Wall-E and I got tons of slack for that. Hated Indy 4... I'm not affected.

But for me Transformers 2 is the most disappointing movie out of that bunch. That said, I hope they can bring back the quality of the first film for an awesome 3rd movie.
