The comedy pairing of Kevin Smith and Seth Rogen would appear to be too good to be true. Smith is a guy whose comedy stylings helped mold my high school years. Rogen is a guy who has been cracking me up since "Undeclared," the great but cancelled Judd Apatow sitcom. This fall they'll be together on ZACK AND MIRI MAKE A PORNO and the first footage from the film is online. Smith posted an internet teaser trailer at his site Quick Stop Entertainment. I couldn't get the embedded version to work on our site (it kept cropping the actual footage) but here it is in JoBlo Video. But you can see it in better quality at Quick Stop by heading here.

So fucking boring I can't even describe it. Not that Smith has ever done a movie which actually was funny, but still.
Seth Rogan annoying as hell as always (probably the most overrated "comedy" actors of all times?).
Go watch "I want Candy" (e.g.). Not that that's a good film (it's not), but it's not worse than what this probably is gonna be. Ah well.

Shit, Im pretty surprised that the majority of people posting didn't find this funny. I mean come on guys, its Kevin Smith. what did you guys expect? I will admit, it seems Mr. Rogen is playing the same character he seems to always play but thats definitely okay with me. As for Banks, I find her very very charming and to see such a cute, wholesome looking girl talking about sex is quite amusing...

I would expect Rosario Dawson to talk about that kinda stuff, which to me, wouldnt make it as funny. I think the Banks casting is brilliant and is a much better choice than the original Dawson choice. Im down for this and loved the trailer, it was everything I expected from a movie titled "Zack and Miri Make a Porno" For those who keep saying stuff like "Amy was when he was at the top of his game yada yada yada..." I don't think are the fans he's going to for this. This isnt a Chansing Amy movie, this is a straight up Kevin Smith Comedy in the same vain as Clerks and Mallrats. Im definitely fine with that. Also, just because they are casting for a porno doesnt mean they aren't starring in it. Other promotional vidoes to come out like the "Im fucking Seth Rogen" video imply they are fucking in front of the camera.

I'm torn. Hardcore.
Kevin is my idol, always will be, but from the day the cast was announced I've always been "meh" on this flick. I think the casting for the female lead has potential to be terrible. I'm not seeing her being awesome. Hearing her talk about sex is really akward. And the casting of Seth, while I like his previous shit, pissed me off from day 1 because it seems like a cop out, a classic Jonah Hill ...

But we all gotta keep in mind that Kevin has always been known for having terrible trailers; does everyone remember "Jerk It Out" from the Clerks 2 trailer? And I/we gotta keep in mind that it's Kevin, and much like the X-Files, I'm positive that we'll all be proven dead wrong when were sitting in that theater, meaning we'll all love it.

Kevin Smith and Seth Rogen is like the comedy version of Steven Spielberg and Harrison Ford: A Dream Team. Just glad Rogen and Smith don't have a Lucas (Scott Mosier is twice the man George Lucas is).

Another Kevin Smith movie? Personally since Chasing Amy i've enough of it, and i really like Seth Rogen but at this point it's getting bored see it in almost every new flick...

Sometimes funny, but it failed to met expectations. I guess I am not one for teasers, but this was not that great. I will be waiting for a trailer and for the release to make judgment.

I expect the trailer will pack more punch when it comes around. This teaser really didn't do much in terms of laughs... or anything really.
