Okay, this isn't so much a new subtitle for the fourth INDIANA JONES movie as it is a verification of a previously rumored one, but let's just say this comes from a slightly more reliable link in the chain.

Whether it's a temporary title or a smokescreen remains to be seen (since actual story details are scarce), but the title being used with some official capacity is: INDIANA JONES AND THE CITY OF THE GODS.

Like I said, it's a name that's been associated with the project for years (along with a dozen or so others), but this is the first time we've seen it actually labeled on the production (thanks to 'Stranger' for the tip). But gods or city or not, the flick will definitely be in theaters next summer with Harrison Ford, Cate Blanchett, Ray Winstone, Shia LaBeouf, and Tony Jaa as a grown-up Short Round (I wish).

Extra Tidbit: Frank Marshall also returns for the fourth time on the INDIANA JONES series as producer and 2nd unit director. He occupied himself since LAST CRUSADE with stuff like THE BOURNE IDENTITY and... CONGO.

So are we gonna get Indy running around the slums Rio De Janero in the 70's? I'd definitely pay to see that...

El Dorado?
The City of Gold would make an awesome Indy flick. I'm still partial to the Atlantis idea, but I doubt that's gonna happen. Either way, I'm fuckin' psyched as shit for this.

Get rid of "and". There ya go. You've got yourself a good title with a slice of cheese taken out. I dig it. What ancient city do you guys think they're talking about?

Hey!
I still say Last Crusade was the best in the trilogy! Some may disagree but Ford and Connery were amazing together. I'm not knocking Raiders since that was amazing as well and kicked it all off. I just prefer the Last Crusade. As for Temple of Doom, at least we got Short Round.

change the title
The title is too reminiscent of the third film, it should be a total seperation from that horrible "Last Crusade" bullshit.
