I’m not afraid to admit that I am a massive Judd Apatow fan. He is creating some of the best comedies I’ve seen in ages. He brought us THE 40 YEAR OLD VIRGIN and KNOCKED UP to name a couple, and he has been the man in charge for several other terrifically funny flicks. With SUPERBAD, he gave his support to a charmingly crude script co-written by Seth Rogen and the equally talented Evan Goldberg. He is on board again championing Seth and Evan’s writing skills with this latest tale of marijuana and a little bit of action… actually quite a lot of action.
Along with the others involved with this film, Judd is really one of the easiest guys to interview. You pretty much can start off with anything… including of course pineapples. Chiquita or Dole? You decide. So we started there and just talked about Seth and drugs and drugs and Seth. To see the Apatow players once again offer up a high-flying comedy, check out PINEAPPLE EXPRESS opening Wednesday at a theatre near you.
