Deadly Sinner

They better not have a retarded villain like Fin Fang Foom. And I hope the Mandarin is still only referenced in that "Ten Rings Society" thing. I have a feeling he'd work better in comics than on screen.
How about Extremis. I didn't really like the story in the book that much, but I think these guys could adapt it well on screen. The whole biology vs. technology thing was very cool. The good thing about this is you could have multiple extremis villains, which would be a good time to bring out War Machine. Plus, Stark would be able to upgrade his armor to where it attaches itself to his body, with that undersuit growing out of his skin.
But what I'd REALLY like to see is Iron Man in SPACE! |

MANDARIN
Just a thought on the Mandarin: in the first movie Tony Stark was captured by an Al-Qaida like terrorist group calling itself the "Ten Rings." The Mandarin happens to wear ten rings, one on each finger with a different power. I sort of assumed that this terrorist group and particularly its leader was loosely based on the Mandarin, just modified for the purpose of the movie, in the same way Afghanistan was substituted for Vietnam. Otherwise why not use a more "terrorist" sounding name for the group ("something, something jihad"), or just go with a real group, like Al-Qaida? I doubt their lawyers would make a fuss. |

UNITED VISIONS IS THE DOUCE
first off, CANNOT wait for Iron Man 2, saw the first one three times in theaters and the dark knight twice and I think Iron Man is much more watchable, although I love both. But yeah United Visions is a douche, and here's why, you came off sounding like an uppity asshole, the American Box office is emphasized around here for two reasons, we're in America (at least I and probably the majority of the patrons for this site are) and two, it makes up a huge percentage of all box office. Take out America and the box office for all films drops SIGNIFICANTLY, not to mention most films are made here (although I love foreign and independant films, the studios suck but it is what it is) And THEN you went on to try and sound all cool calling out the dark knight and iron man and your fucking numbers were way off. Get a clue bro and dont call other people douche bags when you are clearly the major douche. The worldwide box office plays a part, no one is disputing that, but the american box office plays a large part on its own, oh and minus points for bringing up the mummy 3 (they all blow as far as I'm concerned) So to the guy with the sweet deadpool avatar, take back your apology! |

OK
Sorry if I came across as a douch. I just get upset when people try to argue things with out facts. Yes, after relooking up the numbers The Mummy 3 did do better outside the United States and that should be taking into account when discussing movies. Still Iron Man was the 5th highest grossing movie this year(as stated in my previous comment) and The Mummy 3 was 17th. With that in mind, Iron Man was a huge success while The Mummy 3 was average. Now if you brought up Indiana Jones 4 than that would be a totally different story. Indy 4 has made 465.0 internationaly which is HUGE. Seeing as how The Dark Knight made only 328.6 internationaly. So yes, I agree we ignore the worldwide numbers too much, it is just next time give us some numbers to back up your argument and you won't get so many people (including myself) being a dick to you. |

CORRECTED
Sorry, I do stand corrected. But please don't be such a dick with your response. Being online doesn't somehow make it okay to sound like a doosh.
And anyway, I may have been wrong about Dark Knight, but I was right about every other thing I said. The worldwide boxoffice is more important, and Iron Man didn't do as well for total Gross as a number of other films. And the Mummy 3, as you pointed out made over 200 million, which was my point exactly.
Again, sorry I got the first place wrong, my number was a little old. But everything I was actually saying is still true. |
