G.I. JOE: THE RISE OF COBRA

If you're a fan of stupid fun, hyper-exaggerated action then the upcoming G.I. JOE: THE RISE OF COBRA should be right up your alley. All the trailers so far have shown gloriously ridiculous action sprinkled with deliciously nutty dialogue. Plus, there's smoking hot chicks in skin tight clothing. The Japanese trailer below is a lot of what we've seen before but it does give us our first in-movie glimpse of the thus far mysterious Cobra Commander. Check it out below. And strap in for some fantastic unrealistic action on August 7th.

Extra Tidbit: If this bombs, at least Joseph Gordon-Levitt can say kinda deny playing Cobra.

Aside from once owning Shipwreck and a couple of bad guys I don't know the names of, I never was big into G.I. Joe. Having said that, I can only imagine, in the wake of Transformers 2's rather high expectations, this thing will just be a lot better than people expect.

Cobra Commander??
Is that really Cobra Commander, I thought it was that Doctor Character I keep hearing about, I don't know much about GI Joe, so forgive my cluelessness, but I though that was the Dr. on the Posters I've seen...

Is there any more of this movie? Every trailer shows the exact same clips. Perhaps the movie is only 1 minuet and 56 seconds long.

definitely looks really cool. of course, my ability to form new likes and opinions didn't cease in the 1980's, so I don't mind a version of G.I. Joe that may actually look like it takes place today and not in 1984.
