The last thing that I want is for someone as hot as Scarlett Johansson to move behind the camera, but if it's just to direct a short segment in the upcoming project NEW YORK, I LOVE YOU then I guess I can deal with that. Coming from the same producer that brought us PARIS, JE T'AIME, the film will illustrate the universal theme of encountering love within the five boroughs of New York City. Note: Jennifer Lopez should definitely star in whichever segment is set in the Bronx because she is way authentic. Other directors involved include Zach Braff (GARDEN STATE), Anthony Minghella (COLD MOUNTAIN), Mira Nair (VANITY FAIR) and one of my personal favourites, Park Chan-Wook (OLDBOY). Also, since this story sounded way too sensible, Brett Ratner is slated to direct a segment too. Because what would an touching portrayal of love in New York be without, you know, smoking hot chicks and Chris Tucker?

Extra Tidbit: Johansson auditioned for the lead in THE PARENT TRAP which Lindsay Lohan got.

With Paris, Je T'aime they really seemed to get a pretty good roster of directors... Don't get me wrong there's some good names on that list but how exactly do you do a love story to New York without Woody Allen or Martin Scorcese?
