The premise follows a Navy sub diver who came face to face with a Megalodon while diving seven miles deep in the Mariana Trench.  A Megalodon shark is an extinct \"giant\" great white shark which is between 50-70 feet in length.. long story short, shit happened, the sub went apeshit and his story is dismissed as a hallucination at the time of death.  5 years later he goes through another dive and hell breaks loose, the shark surfaces and we have JAWS with a 70 foot shark.  It\'s a fast paced, brutal and pretty damn scary read.. sorta like a Michael Crichton novel to be honest.    He also wrote \"The Loch\" which was his own version of a group searching for and finding the loch ness monster.. which is probably my favorite out of his entire series of novels.
