A lot of you probably don't care, but there apparently won't be another CONSTANTINE. Not with Keanu Reeves anyway. Director Francis Lawrence mentioned that the possibility of a sequel hinged on a good script a few months back, but Reeves seems to have put that possibility to bed. And I'm not all that jazzed up about switching actors mid-franchise. Not unless your name rhymes with Schmaggie Schmyllenhaal. Apparently, also, Reeves says that there are no characters that he's played that he has any desire to return to, which blows POINT BREAK 2 way out of the water.
CONSTANTINE, which incidentally I loved, was based on the Vertigo comic "Hellblazer". In the film version John Constantine is a supernatural detective who exorcises demons and rolls around with Shia LaBeouf in a cab. His charge in the film is to investigate the apparent suicide of some chick, while also battling a bunch of nasties from hell. He is also a chain smoker, and while no concrete explanation is ever given for this, my theory is that he was distraught that he was unable to save Rachel Weisz' twin sister, and thus lost his shot at the holy grail of sexual adventure: twins that looks like Rachel Weisz.
Extra Tidbit:
Peter Stormare: one of the best Satan's of all time?

Tim Curry.
Legend. I said Viggo earlier...but now that I think about it...Curry may have been the best. Best makeup, voice and atmosphere anyway. |

GOOD...
I'm glad there won't be any sequels to Constantine.
...I'm angry that if there are any that Keanu Reeves will not be reprising his role =( |

That was maybe the first time I heard Peter Stormare speak without any noticeable accent. And every word that rolled of that forked tongue of his carried meaning with it. Incidentally, that was my favorite scene in the whole movie. |

KEANU
So after 3 Matrix films he won't return for a 4th? bummer... Consantine was good and if their planning to make a 2nd one, they sould either convince Keanu to return (offer more $$$) or not do it at all. |
