i was hoping they would do a new mk movie. mortal kombat kicks ass as a game and there is a lot of story to work with. hopefully its done right this time. the second one had the same quality as an episode of power rangers. |

What was the problem with the first one? It was a game that was purely button maching violence and action. Not exactly an easy task to make that into a movie. Well not an easy taks to give it a deep plot anyway. It was what it was supposed to be. And it was good at it. A mindless action movie. |

To be fair, the first Kombat was pretty good. Not anything great, but still decent. The second one was a travesty, and the series sucked, but the first movie....yeah, it was good. This new one....I don't know, we'll see.
Also, I enjoy Street Fighter the movie. Not cause it's a great movie -- cause it's not -- but just because it's fun to watch.
ADD = Wow, just read some of the other comments...apparently the minority of people who loved the first movie isn't as small as I thought. Cheers, mates. |

When philosophers look over the major travesties of the 20th Century, you can be sure that when they argue over which was the cruelest blow to humanity, this argument will be concerning the holocaust, the 9/11 disaster and the attempts at converting Mortal Kombat into a movie franchise.
