Yes, Ledger is better than I expected. The look of the character is rather unorthodox, but it fits perfectly with Nolan's Batman universe as established in Begins.
On a technical note (and I am speaking as a professional video editor), the trailer was edited together rather sloppily, and, as a result, did not get my sold out audience nearly as excited as they should have been. It needed a major injection of energy.
However, what it DID show was that Nolan will indeed deliver a brilliant film and Ledger will most likely give the best Joker performance to date. |
