Lost movie not likely

There were a lot of rumors when a final end date for ABC's "Lost" was announced that, like THE X-FILES before it, the show might have a movie in there somewhere. While you might read elsewhere on the web that this is a "maybe," don't believe it. I got a chance to talk to "Lost" showrunner Damon Lindelof last week and he said the idea of a "Lost" movie "makes every bone in my fanboy body cry foul."

Lindelof explains: "People have been so patient with the show and to basically say that we're going to end the TV show but we're going to leave some questions unanswered so that you can pay $14 and go see it in the theater?..." I asked him if this meant we'd never see the rumored movie. "You never say never but what we are saying is that when the final episode of 'Lost' airs, that will be very conclusive. There will not be a question mark of the end of the words 'THE END.'"

Add this to JJ Abrams' comments at the above-linked MTV story (where he says "my gut is [a 'Lost' movie] would never happen") and you can downgrade that maybe to a not bloody likely. And to me, that's a good thing.

LOST is filmed like a hollywood movie, so theres no reason it should reach the big screen. Even though it would be successful, it wouldnt be a blockbuster, considering only people that have seen every episode will go to see it....however, id bet it could of had the biggest midnight opening ever, because I personnally wouldnt wait one second longer to get all those answers!

I agree with callmeindiana John Locke does in fact rule, he is the greatest character in world history!! Fuck moses...its all about locke!

HBO should just make a Sopranos movie, because that finale sucked ass!

As a lost fan, I'm glad, the show is enough and the movie would have just alienated a ton of fans by trying to appeal to a wider audience. That and I certainly hope that wrap up everything in the show so that there is nothing remaining for a possible movie... and yes Evangeline Lilly is probably the hottest woman alive in my opinion

Lindelof is a champ. He genuinely cares about the fans of the show. As a fan of LOST, I think this is great, it's nice to know you're in the hands of someone who isn't going to screw you over for a little more money.

Also, I love that photo. Evangeline Lilly is pretty much the hottest person to ever exist.

A lost movie would be a bad idea... I'm glad this is being shot down.... Lost is the best show that's ever been made and I would hate it if it ended with a movie...

Why not both?
Just make a normal 3 hour finale then release it in select theaters either on the same day or around the time of the televised finale

(NOTE: I say 3 hours because without commercials it would even out)

Just give us a 2 hour finale. It'd be the same thing just about...Now. I'd love to watch the finale on a HUGE television screen with ridiculous surround sound.

It's probably best for Lost, just given the nature of the series, to remain a tv show, but I do want a 24 movie.

This is great news because this would have been such a bad idea. I hate when tv shows turn into movies because I feel that the show is just milikin' it then. Why would I want to pay an extra $10 to see the conclusion to one of my favorte shows (and one of the best shows in television history) in theaters? I'm glad that the creators of LOST have enough sense to not make a movie and to just en...
