Mall Cop trailer Oct. 3, 2008
Source: JoBlo.com
by: Mike Sampson

I can't recommend that PAUL BLART: MALL COP trailer to you because it's funny. Because it's not really funny (at least not for adults - maybe kids might chuckle). But I can, and will, recommend it to you for its rampant New Jerseyism. As a Jersey resident myself, it's always nice to see the Garden State get such recognition. Of course we're being recognized for our malls (again) but I'll take it. I will say that I worked at a Rainforest Cafe at a New Jersey mall back when I was in college so I take great delight in seeing one explode on the big screen. Check it out below.

I have never understood what people see in this guy. He is a wannabe who happened to have a successful if not terrible show. This will go Direct-to-DVD, & if it doesn't no one will see this in theaters. This isn't only sad, it's embarrassing.

what anybody says. I love Kevin James. The man makes me laugh and I think this looks hilarious.

C'MON NOW...
Maybe it's because I'm a big fan of 'King of Queens', but I'm willing to give this movie a chance (whether it be in theaters or not will be circumstancial). But even so, I'm all for edgy and adult humor, but lately every comedy has been so cheap and crude. Not to say that this movie is incredibly witty and doesn't have it's immature moments, but it's nice to see a wholesome comedy not specific to kiddies or families and still not as cheesy as a Tim Allen movie. It reminds me of the early 90's movies I enjoyed while growing up. Besides, when I first saw mall security guards on Segways, I couldn't believe how funny and awkward it looked. I can't wait to see them being poked fun at.

DISAPOINTMENT....
I was really excited because for a second I thought this trailer for the Seth Rogen movie about the same thing (I forgot that was the one called Observe and Report not Mall Cop).

Imagine my surprise and disgust when I saw Kevin James' unfunny mustached face instead of Seth Rogen's. I think I'll wait for Observe and Report.
