I think this movie looks good. Of course, it also feels like The Guru (Jimi Mistry) or Holy Man (Eddie Murphy) rehashed. That said, be aware that the BIBLE acronym did not originate here. I'd guess it's a reference to the song by Genius/GZA featuring Killah Priest, but in reality it's a phrase that has been used in the Christian community for a long time. |

Yes we can bash this, why? because we can ha.. but seriously, this is supposed to be part of the official uhm.. Guru Pitka's youtube page. Obviously its another guy because they wont pay Mike Myers to do a bunch of these, but I guess they should have not done them at all. |

GZA/GENIUS
His acronyn for BIBLE, Basic Instructions before Leaving Earth, is a GZA song from his album Liquid Swords, which came out like 10 years ago. Wu-tang represent.
Also, not very interesed in this. Looks pretty lame. |

DEF. NOT MYERS
After watching this, then watching the trailer again I can confirm it is not Myers doing the voice.
It is some guy trying to be funny but failing miserably. Just listen to the voice, it is nothing like Myers when he talks in the trailer.
Don't bash the movie yet because of this, wait for more AUTHENTIC clips and whatnot before you people start hating it. |

PROTESTING A BIT HARD...
"So just because this clip is shit, doesn’t mean the movie will be (and don’t judge it by the trailer either!)"
Hmmm...methinks he doth protest too much.
Austin Powers was so painful I turned it off halfway through. Myers was last funny in Wayne's World. |

I highly suggest that people rewatch some of the Austin Powers trailers again, putting aside all knowledge you have of the movies. Look dumb, don't they? But they turned out absolutely hilarious (at least, in my opinion). I have a lot of hope for The Love Guru, despite whatever the trailer makes it out to be, because I think Myers'll deliver the goods. |
