Check out the trailer for a film called IN SEARCH OF A MIDKNIGHT KISS. It’s indie to the core, and seems to be follow the mumblecore trend of recent films like BAGHEAD. It’s about a down-n-out guy who just had a rough year in LA, and decides to post on ad on craigslist looking for company on New Year’s. The screenwriter had the brilliant idea to have someone answer his ad (that someone looks like an annoying blond chick), thus setting off potential cinematic magic. People will no doubt compare this film to BEFORE SUNRISE, even more so when they see the whole “from the producer of BEFORE SUNSET” tag on the trailer. Small productions like this dealing with twenty-something malaise is always something I can relate to, because you know, I’m young and hip.
Extra Tidbit:The movie screened at Tribeca last year and has garnered good buzz.
