Anthony Francisco’s rejected pitch artwork for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Back in 2011, illustrator and concept designer Anthony Francisco (ANT-MAN, G.I. JOE: RETALIATION) heard Michael Bay wanted to do a TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES movie, and to try to land the job at Illusion Industries, created some pitch artwork for the project. Although Francisco and Illusion didn't end up getting the job and wasn't involved with Jonathan Liebesman's movie, he recently posted his concept art for TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES on his Facebook, giving us an idea of what the Turtles could have looked like in the Michael Bay produced film.

Check them out:

It appears Anthony Francisco's concept art might be from when Bay wanted the turtles to be aliens, and they also seem to be much smaller compared to the ones we ended up getting in the film. What are your thoughts on Francisco's rejected artwork for TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES?
