Ashton Kutcher finds his Steve Wozniak in these new photos from jOBS

Looks like Ashton Kutcher is going to Sundance since his biopic, jOBS will be closing the festival on January 26th.

These new pics from the film show Kutcher as Steve Jobs and Josh Gad as Steve Wozniak, and what a pair they make. I’m actually interested in Kutcher’s take on the Apple visionary after the glowing review Gad gave.

In an interview with USA Today, Gad said, “There is an eerie resemblance — he didn’t have to do much to get there,” says Gad. “When he showed up, it sent a ripple of shock throughout the set. Everyone was like, ‘We’re in the presence of Jobs. Let’s go do this.’ It was literally like being in the room with the creator of Apple. This is one of those roles that’s the perfect fit.”

I also found the last statement that Gad made kind of strange. Part of the film chronicles where the idea began in the Palo Alto garage where the very company began:

“We were blessed with the opportunity to actually shoot in that garage. It was so eerie to go back there and think, ‘This is where it all started.’ And then you notice everyone texting on their iPhone. It was otherworldly.”

Check out the photos below.

Synopsis: The film covers Jobs from his early years as an impressionable youth and wayward hippie, through his initial successes and infamous ousting, to his storybook return and ultimate triumphs as a man who set out to change the world and did just that. jOBS chronicles the 30 most defining years of Steve Jobs’ life, as seen through his, colleagues’, and friends’ eyes. Dark, honest, and uncompromising, jOBS plunges into the depths of his character, creating an intense dialogue-driven story that is as much a sweeping epic as it is an immensely personal portrait of Steve Jobs’ life. A rousing narrative of this business and tech icon, jOBS pulls no punches and does not speculate, telling only the candid and captivating account of the life of Steven Paul Jobs.
