Han Gen/Transformers 4

Oh, there are humans in TRANSFORMERS 4? I figured since most of the news lately about the film has been pictures of flashy vehicles that Michael Bay wasn't going to have any people in TRANSFORMERS 4. Except for at least one hot chick. Gotta have the hot chick.

Over the weekend Bay and Paramount announced that entertainer Han Gen will be the latest actor joining the franchise. Han Gen is from China and is a famous Mandopop singer. Han Gen is also a very talented dancer, and has done some film and television work. He's incredibly popular in China and the addition of Han Gen might help TRANSFORMERS 4's international totals. Not that a sequel to a film that did over $700 million in foreign markets needs any help, but you know what I mean.

I can't help but be at least a little cynical about TRANSFORMERS 4. Bringing Dinobots and Galvatron into the mix might make things interesting, but will it make it good? Will TRANSFORMERS 4 be more of the same, or will there be enough changes with the characters, designs and story that it won't feel like a quick reboot for a cash grab?

Starring Mark Wahlberg, Nicola Peltz, Jack Reynor, Kelsey Grammer, Stanley Tucci, and Sophia Myles, TRANSFORMERS 4 will hit theaters June 27th, 2014.
