UPDATE: Two new TV spots for A Good Day To Die Hard explode online

With the holiday season winding down and the new year upon us (sorry, Mayans), it’s time to get excited for the upcoming crop of 2013 flicks, including the big-budget sequels and prequels we supposedly loathe. A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD fits that mold, as I’m not exactly enthused about, well, anything in regards to the story, setting, director, and inevitable PG-13 rating, yet I will absolutely be there on opening weekend. Strange how that works, eh?

Today, we have a new TV spot for the film, which has our requisite hero, John McClane (Bruce Willis) making insurance companies go bankrupt once again, only this time in Mother Russia. Toting along with McClane is his son, John Jr., played by relative newcomer Jai Courtney. I caught JACK REACHER over the holiday (ridiculous fun) and was impressed with Courtney’s screen presence, much more so than I thought I would be. It certainly assauged me in terms of how he’ll measure up in A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD, especially if he could hold his own onscreen with the likes of Tom Cruise.
