I’ve been quite intrigued about NOW YOU SEE ME since news of it first dropped. The cast is pretty sweet, and I like a good film about magicians. I just kind of like magicians in general even if shows like BREAKING THE CODE reveal everything. The first trailer for the flick gave us an overview of what the story was about, but there was one key thing it didn’t have a lot of– the lovely Mélanie Laurent. She first caught fire to our hearts in Quentin Tarantino‘s INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS. However, we’ve seen here since then in 2010’s BEGINNERS.
We also get more of Alfred and Lucius Fox, I mean, Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman. Does this trailer make me want to see the movie more? Not necessarily, though I do want to see how they pull off the bank robbery and what this “huge trick” is.
NOW YOU SEE ME pulls the rabbit out of the hat on May 31, 2013.
Synopsis: Now You See Me pits an elite FBI squad in a game of cat and mouse against “The Four Horsemen,” a super-team of the world’s greatest illusionists. “The Four Horsemen” pull off a series of daring heists against corrupt business leaders during their performances, showering the stolen profits on their audiences while staying one step ahead of the law.
