New information from Christopher Nolan’s Icelandic shoot for Interstellar reveals more plot details!

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

I feel like I need to put a spoiler tag on anything involving INTERSTELLAR. We know so little about the film that almost every tiny piece of news seems like it's a big deal. Director Christopher Nolan started filming INTERSTELLAR last month in Canada and has already moved on to a new location in Iceland. A source for Desde Hollywood has told the site what they saw at the shoot, and although there doesn't appear to be anything too spoilerish in their report, if you don't want to know make sure you do not scroll past the image of Christopher Nolan.

The site says that a spaceship crash has happened at the set of INTERSTELLAR in Iceland, and their source has spotted some models for what could be drones that appear in the film. They also say a second, bigger aircraft will be featured in INTERSTELLAR and the source refers to it as The Mother Ship.

Now, this could mean that there is a main ship the space travelers are on and their second ship is used for actually touching down on other planets OR…there could be aliens in INTERSTELLAR. To be honest, I hope there aren't any extraterrestrials in the film, or if there are they are completely different from the ones we've seen in other films. For a movie surrounded in so much secrecy and with a director as original as Christopher Nolan, I really hope we get us something better than generic aliens in INTERSTELLAR.

INTERSTELLAR stars Matthew McConaughey, Topher Grace, Jessica Chastain, Anne Hathaway, John Lithgow, Bill Irwin, Casey Affleck, David Gyasi, Wes Bentley, Michael Caine and Matt Damon, and will be in theaters on November 7th, 2014.
