So far, we've seen plenty of images of the titular hero in THOR: THE DARK WORLD, but not much love for the film's villain, Malekith, as played by Christopher Eccleston. However, the gods of Asgard (or Marvel) have unveiled a new character poster featuring Thor's foil, a dark elf who is on the warpath against the God of Thunder in the sequel to 2011's THOR. It's a cool "reveal" image and definitely presents a character that looks like he could go toe-to-toe with the hammer-wielding goldilocks.

For a while there I thought THOR: THE DARK WORLD was really under the radar, but based on our latest poll it seems like you guys are really looking forward to this one. I'm excited myself, which doesn't take that much given the care, precision, and integrity that has followed the Marvel Cinematic Universe so far (okay, except for that whole Mandarin thing). I'm betting this next entry will topple the first film, especially with less time on Earth, whcih was a key complaint from the original. We'll see.
