New photos from Elysium show Matt Damon scrapping in his mechanical armor

It went for so long being a mystery, and now the stuff from ELYSIUM just seems to be rolling in. First we got a cool poster, then an awesome trailer, and of course some stills. The new photos from the film come courtesy of that same issue of EW that I keep talking about. I wouldn’t count on this being the last time you’re hearing about it. It seems like it’s going to have a ton of good details and pics inside it. So you might just want to pick the issue up on June 14th. I know some of you are already on it.

The two new photos are too thrilling, but they are new photos so that’s a plus. The first one shows off more of the perfect Jodie Foster looking a bit concerned about something. What is someone whispering in her ear? Has Matt Damon infiltrated Utopia?

Photo numero dos shows Damon going toe to toe with someone we can’t see so clearly. Maybe he’s part of Foster’s elite team of minions. No doubt he looks like a overall bad ass in this film.

Synopsis: In the year 2159 two classes of people exist: the very wealthy, who live on a pristine man-made space station called Elysium, and the rest, who live on an overpopulated, ruined Earth. The people of Earth are desperate to escape the planet’s crime and poverty, and they critically need the state-of-the-art medical care available on Elysium – but some in Elysium will stop at nothing to enforce anti-immigration laws and preserve their citizens’ luxurious lifestyle. The only man with the chance bring equality to these worlds is Max (Matt Damon), an ordinary guy in desperate need to get to Elysium. With his life hanging in the balance, he reluctantly takes on a dangerous mission – one that pits him against Elysium’s Secretary Delacourt (Jodie Foster) and her hard-line forces – but if he succeeds, he could save not only his own life, but millions of people on Earth as well.
