Pierce Brosnan says he wants to appear in The Expendables 4

THE EXPENDABLES 3 will be hitting theaters next month, and depending on how well it does at the box office, there's a good chance there will be a fourth installment in the action franchise. I just don't see Sylvester Stallone stopping after three films, and it's obvious he's been having a lot of fun with THE EXPENDABLES movies.

If there is going to be a fourth EXPENDABLES, there's one person who is definitely interested in appearing in the next movie: Pierce Brosnan. In an interview about his upcoming Nick Hornby adaptation A LONG WAY DOWN, Brosnan told Coming Soon he wants a part in THE EXPENDABLES 4.

I said to [producer] Avi Lerner, 'If it works out and you have a good script, Avi, you know where to find me if you still want me. It's as simple as that really. I had a grand time in his company. Sylvester Stallone is the one that's given us these wonderful platforms for actors who have and had careers to go play and have fun and to entertain. To bring a bunch of guys together who saved the world, fought the bad guys, and put them all on the same stage, that's crazy good…It's just about entertainment. Avi is somebody I've heard about and his movies always have big brash entertainment value to them. You can really change the world and that's great, but 'The Expendables'? Yeah, I'd love to do 'The Expendables.' It's just a kick in the pants.

Brosnan also defended Kelsey Grammer when the site made a joke about not remembering the actor saving the world too many times in past movies.

He's a fantastic actor, Kelsey Grammer. You don't have that kind of career without having a talent, without having something to say and to give to an audience.

I think it's a little odd Grammer was cast in THE EXPENDABLES 3, but I'm sure he'll do just fine in it, even if he does look like someone's dad on vacation in his character poster for the new movie.

Pierce Brosnan appearing in an EXPENDABLES flick sounds awesome to me, and I'm sure Sylvester Stallone would love to add a former Bond actor to the cast for the next movie. What are your thoughts on Pierce Brosnan and THE EXPENDABLES 4, and what other actors would you like to see join the franchise?

Pierce Brosnan's A LONG WAY DOWN will be in theaters on July 11, 2014 (if you can't wait that long it's also currently playing on VOD), and his spy thriller THE NOVEMBER MAN will open on August 27, 2014. THE EXPENDABLES 3 is set to be released on August 15, 2014.
