Sony's R-rated CG-animated comedy SAUSAGE PARTY written by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg is officially set to open June 3, 2016. It places the movie exactly one week before Sony's own THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 3.

The awesome synopsis if you're still not sold:

Sausage Party is a raunchy animated movie about one sausage’s quest to discover the truth about his existence. After falling out of a shopping cart, our hero sausage and his new friends embark on a perilous journey through the supermarket to get back to their aisles before the 4th of July sale.

The comedy features the voices of Rogen and Hill as well as Kristen Wiig, Salma Hayek, Edward Norton, David Krumholtz, Nick Kroll, Michael Cera, James Franco, Craig Robinson, and Bill Hader. If that wasn’t enough, Paul RuddDanny McBride, and WORKAHOLICS star Anders Holm have now joined the already ridiculous cast. The comedy is getting a wide summer release which is good to see; that kind of treatment did wonders for SOUTH PARK which grossed over $80 million.

SAUSAGE PARTY will hit theaters June 3, 2016.

Enough with this sausage fest (had to); Salma Hayek if you please:
