Snowman vs reindeer! First look trailer for Disney’s 53rd animated movie Frozen

Frozen

Yesterday the first images from the animated film FROZEN were revealed and today the first trailer has been released by Disney. Except it's not really a trailer but a clip that highlights a couple of the secondary characters in the film: Olaf the snowman and Sven the reindeer. It's a lot like the first teaser trailers for the ICE AGE movies that have Scrat running around trying to protect and save his precious acorn.

Plot:

When a prophecy traps a kingdom in eternal winter, Anna (voice of Kristen Bell), a fearless optimist, teams up with extreme mountain man Kristoff (voice of Jonathan Groff) and his sidekick reindeer Sven on an epic journey to find Anna’s sister Elsa (voice of Idina Menzel), the Snow Queen, and put an end to her icy spell. Encountering mystical trolls, an amazing and comedic snowman named Olaf, Everest-like conditions and magic at every turn, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom from destruction.

Although it's just a teaser it would be nice if at least some of the story for FROZEN was shown but I understand how important it is for Disney to highlight these characters. And by "important" I mean "profitable". People love odd side characters in cartoons (the previously mentioned Scrat, Minions in DESPICABLE ME, penguins in the MADAGASCAR series) and they'll certainly buy up anything with the character's image on it if they think the animated creation is cute/funny/quirky enough. Not trying to be a cynic but you know it's true. But if FROZEN is a good movie then everyone wins, right?

A full trailer shouldn't be too far away since FROZEN is out on November 27th, 2013.
