The first trailer for Ridley Scott’s epic Exodus: Gods and Kings

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

The anticipated trailer for Ridley Scott’s Biblical epic, EXODUS: GODS AND KINGS has arrived and it's a very impressive first look. That might not be a huge surprise considering the man that brought us GLADIATOR and KINGDOM OF HEAVEN is at the helm, but check out the madness below. I still have chills!

Here’s the synopsis:

Christian Bale stars as the Israelite Moses, abandoned at birth and raised alongside Rhamses (Joel Edgerton), who becomes the Pharaoh of ancient Egypt. Though brothers, they’re pitted against each other as Moses is compelled to cast off the shackles of slavery and lead his fellow Israelites out from under Rhamses’ thumb.

This movie looks beautiful in every way; the visuals, the great cast and a classic story. It should be an easy frontrunner for some awards if it plays out as good as it looks. I wasn’t expecting much after the lackluster posters that were released; but this brought pure joy and a bit of fear for that poor horse who is about to bite the big one near the end of the trailer. This might be Scott's biggest movie yet in terms of the 3D and visual effects; I can't wait to see it on the big screen.

What do you think of the EXODUS: GODS AND KINGS trailer?

The movie also stars Sigourney Weaver, Ben Kingsley, and Aaron Paul. It's set to bring it on December 12, 2014.
