For those who were pissed about Cartoon Network and Disney leaving Star Wars: The Clone Wars out to dry when Disney took over the property, there is hope on the horizon, as Netflix has scooped up the sixth and final season of the series, entitled “The Lost Missions,” which will debut next month on the streaming service. Today, we have our first look at the trailer for the last season of the show, which plays up the John Williams score throughout and folds in a lot of familiar faces and themes from The Clone Wars saga with plenty of explosions, laser beams, lightsaber duels, and leaps into the air that we’ve come to expect from the show.

Here’s the description of the final season:

The long-awaited final episodes of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, this trailer offers a glimpse into the various story arcs of The Lost Missions. Yoda communes with Qui-Gon Jinn and is sent on a journey; Jedi Master Plo Koon discovers Sifo-Dyas’ lightsaber and a clue to the creation of the clone army; Count Dooku looks to protect the secret of Order 66; Anakin Skywalker rescues Padmé Amidala; and Mace Windu battles multiple foes.

I’m happy this final season has found a home with Netflix. Fans can binge the whole season and wrap up the legacy of the show without a long drawn out process. I know there were a lot of folks none too happy about the series being kicked to the curb in favor of the upcoming Star Wars: Rebels, but at least they can soak in the last bit of the series, which looks to have a sense of finality to it.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars – The Lost Missions debuts on Netflix on March 7, 2014.
