Superman trailer hits!!
Well, looks like the gloves are off now! First we got a new X-MEN 3 clip, then the first look at the CASINO ROYALE trailer, then the latest PIRATES 2 trailer and today....boom, SUPERMAN RETURNS, baby! Everyone is fighting for their place in the spotlight and if you're like me and love summer blockbusters flicks...this is the best time of the year for you. But enough of my jammering, CLICK HERE to see the SUPERMAN RETURNS trailer and let us know what you all think! Me, I'm f*ckin' stoked, no doubt, although the POTC2 trailer looks like a lot more fun. Spacey seems to be having a blast though, and the clip's final joke is a definite keeper. Thanks to 'Christopher' for the head's up.

Meh.
However...
I could end up being completely wrong. I'll see it if I have nothing better to do on a weekend, but I won't wait in line for hours or days to see it.

AHHHHHGR
Holy Crap...
Lex talking about killing billions while the happy-go-lucky Superman march plays in the background is just poor editing...
Not to mention Brandon Routh is a completely vapid and uninteresting. He's got no charisma and he's putting Christopher Reeve's legacy to shame.
I was hoping

I was hoping against hope that this trailer would finally convince me that this movie would be good, but I can say without a doubt that it did not.
Dammit, Bryan, didn't you see Batman Begins? THAT'S how you make a comic book movie: GOOD.
God, I hope I'm wrong. Supes needs a good new flick...
What's up with his eyes?
It was like he was at some shitty karoke bar trying to keep up with the bouncing ball.

LOOK......
On that note, I'd like to add that I've seen the teaser several hundred times. The teaser, I think, is ten times better than the trailer. The trailer is kinda cheesey, while the teaser made the movie out to be made up of epic proportions.
I think the reason the teaser is better is because of the graceful and slow transitions between each scene; the choice of music is better; and MARLON BRANDO's voice puts the icing on

Regardless that I'm semi-disappointed, I will still see this movie because I believe, as a Superman fan, that Singer is pushing this story into the right direction and that it will be a huge hit.......now turn your desktops off while I watch more of the trailer....toodles
I don't think
WOW
It was nice to see a bit of Brando in there at the begining too. I cant wait.

It looks like they're going the Spidey 2 route with just way too much (teen?) angst drama. I think Batman Begins managed to find the right balance between character and event.
Either way I'm there opening weekend as a trailer does not a movie make.
Blahhhh
AWESOME!!!
interesting
Spacey as Lex looks passable, as do some of the other characters, but this person playing Lois is just too young.
other than that, though, it looks good.

This, however, looks kind of intriguing..
I like the sort of 'intentional camp' feeling of it.. I mean, the old idea of Superman was never that realistic -- Smallville gave it that spin (I still don't understand why they didn't just go for a Smallville feature film.. well.. I kind of do.. but you know).
Anyway.. I think it

Anyway.. I think it looks cool. Except yes the kid looks stupid, some of the dialogue is pretty stupid and Lois Lane is.. well I don't think she's pretty at all, but whatever.
I'll give this one a hope floater for now.
Awesome
HELL YEA!!!!
To everyone who keeps bitching about this film, chill out and just comment on ur "I can't wait for Snakes On A Plane!!!!" blog instead.

Good
I think it's sad that many people are just waiting for an excuse to dish the movie (like it happened with King Kong)

No
Not bad
The FX look a lot better than in the coke commercial from the other day. The plane sequence should be pretty groovy, but it feels like its missing a "Holy crap, I just shat myself" action set piece, something that we haven't seen before.

Didn't Smallville do a Superman/plane thing a couple years ago?
It should be loads of fun, but that won't stop people bitching and complaining. Ugh.
Anyways, the campy humor seems really fitting for Superman, so I have no complaints about that (I mean c'mon! It's about a guy that's invulnerable to everything but a rock, can shoot laser beams out of his eyes, can look through everything but lead, etc.). Also, Spacey looks awesome as Lex Luthor.

This is it!?
Crap...crap and more crap. The attempt to tie this film into the original films was the first mistake. Casting WB grade actors for the major roles of Superman and Lois was the second. And the recycling of old ideas into a new film was the third. And what is with the stupid jokes and campy dialogue!? There has been nothing shown that makes me want to go out and see this film. Routh was just a lousy choice. No presence. No strength. No power.
