The Latest Announcements

Star Wars - September 12

As you've all heard by now, (and if you haven't, where the f*ck have ya been?) LucasFilms and Twentieth Century Fox has decided to release the unaltered, "things I didn't think of the first time", Star Wars Trilogy on DVD. The set will be in limited release from September 12th thru December 31st of this year. Each film with be a two-disc set of the original theatrical version (and the 2004 digitally remastered versions) with Dolby 2.0 Surround Sound, and subtitles in English, French and Spanish for the U.S. release. As someone who doesn't own a single Star Wars DVD but loves the trilogy (and no I'm not trying to play the "cool" card), I'm, personally, extremely stoked about the release. For anybody complaining about Lucas' "quadruple dipping" and "OMG, I just f'kin knew this was going to happen", if you knew this was going to happen, why'd you buy them all in the first place, spanky? "Theatrical versions on DVD?? Holy shit!!!"

Lost (S2) - October 3

Wow, how about that last episode, huh? Good times. Lost continues to be one of my favorite shows on TV right now, right up there with Ultimate Fighter where you see dudes bash other dudes in the face repeatedly with their elbows. Both of them bypass the uber-bummer that is The Sopranos. It's times like that where I wish I wasn't giving up half my liver for "premium" cable when I can use that extra scratchola for "premium" buds. Scope out some menu shots from Season 2 of Lost below.

Ultraviolet - June 27

Maybe it's just me but until a couple of days ago, I though that was Selma Blair on the cover. Weird. I dug it either way. Hot little belly Milla's working with. Cool cover, worse movie from what I hear. Maybe the Unrated Extended Edition is better? Probably not. But hey, you take the good, you take the bad, you take them both and there you have.....

  • Anamorphic Widescreen
  • English DD5.1 Surround
  • French DD5.1 Surround (Rated Edition only)
  • English & French subtitles
  • Audio commentary by Milla Jovovich
  • ’UV Protection’ Making Ultraviolet

Road House (SE) - July 11

An update to my column from a couple of days ago on one of the greatest movies ever made. Specs have been released and can I just say that I was happier than a two dollar hooker with a five dollar bill when I read that there will be a Kevin Smith/Scott Mosier commentary AND a Roddy Herington commentary. As many of you know, Kevin Smith is one of the greats at commentary and Roddy Herington is just an all around bad ass. A "BA" if you will. And how about the featurette "What Would Dalton Do?" That shit's classick. I'm making bracelets right now.

  • Commentary Featuring Director Rowdy Herrington
  • Commentary Featuring Kevin Smith and Scott Mosier
  • Trivia Track
  • Featurette: "On the Road House"
  • Featurette: "Sneak Peek - Road House 2: Last Call"
  • Featurette: "What Would Dalton Do?"
  • Anamorphic Widescreen
  • English, French and Spanish Dolby Surround
  • English, French and Spanish subtitles

One of the GREATEST taglines ever.

Menu Shots

Munich (SE)

Lost (S2)

Munich (SE): Everything looks very low-key and I like it. Or will I? 5/9

Big Momma's House 2: Watch Martin Lawrence fade into obscurity right before our very eyes! 5/9

Ronin (SE): It's like what would happen if Neil from Heat got away. Play it, it's fun! 5/9

When a Stranger Calls: Hang up the phone! That's all! No "and then"! 5/16

Grounded for Life (S2): Pretty good show that was clipped by Fox (as they'll clip anything and everything it seems). The mom was a total MILF with a great rack. Hey, I got priorities! 5/16
