Kaminski films Collateral

Jan. 16, 2002by: Mike Sampson

Janusz Kaminski, who achieved fame as Steven Spielberg's cinematographer of choice, had a less-than-stellar debut as a director. The Winona Ryder/Ben Chaplin "horror" film LOST SOULS got lost at the box-office and wasn't a hit with critics either.  Kaminski will try his hand at directing a second time (after finishing his work collaborating with Spielberg on MINORITY REPORT and CATCH ME IF YOU CAN) with the spy thriller COLLATERAL.  Here's the lowdown on the film from THR:

"Collateral" is hit man slang for a murder that a professional assassin has not yet been contracted for. The story centers on a New York cab driver who finds out that he is collateral when he discovers he is chauffeuring a hit man from murder to murder.
