DVD Cool News #144

The Latest Announcements

Rocky (SE) - December 5

We dropped some details on the special edition of ROCKY a while back (reprinted for your convenience) and now we have the sweet ass artwork in addition to what the ROCKY ANTHOLOGY will look like as well. And if you haven't yet, our very own The Arrow showed up at Rocky Balboa day in Philly and reported on the cool ass event HERE, so peep that shit, boyee.

When the Levees Broke - December 19

People think Led Zeppelin only sang about LORD OF THE RINGS and Celtic mysticism, but they were also quite prophetic when they sang, "if it keeps on raining/the levee's going to break" on their song, appropriately titled, "When the Levee Breaks." Prophets of song, or Masters of the Obvious? You decide. Spike Lee's four-hour, four-part chronicle will be shown in anamorphic widescreen, with English 2.0 Surround tracks. Doesn't look like there's any extras at this time, but if that changes we'll let you know.

The Groomsmen - November 14

Gauging by these next two items, you'll be able to tell that it's been a slow week for DVD announcements. Speaking of slow, I'll take "Ed Burns is back on the scene in the tale of an Irish-American man/child in New York who refuses to move on to the next stage of his life," for $1 Billion, Alex.

How to Eat Fried Worms - December 5

I always thought this was the coolest book back in the day, though I probably should've paid attention when I read it in college. Unrelated to that, I never did finish college. Unrelated to that, the only worms I eat are from bottles of tequila. If anyone has seen this, strike back below and let us know your thoughts.
