The Latest Announcements

A Scanner Darkly - December 19

Candidate for the coolest DVD cover art of the year, A SCANNER DARKLY melds live action performances with the effects of mind altering drugs and animation to create a vivid, visceral and vivacious piece of art. You gotta wonder what the special edition (which will undoubtedly be released at some point) cover art will look like. I'm counting the days.

Includes:

  • Commentary by Keanu Reeves, writer/director Richard Linklater, producer Tommy Pallotta, author Jonathan Lethem and Philip K. Dick’s daughter Isa Dick Hackett
  • One Summer in Austin: The Story of Filming A Scanner Darkly
  • The Weight of the Line: Animation Tales
  • Theatrical Trailer
  • Anamorphic Widescreen Presentation
  • English DD5.1 Surround
  • English, French & Spanish subtitles

Miami Vice - December 5

Candidate for the shittiest cover art of all time, MIAMI VICE featured Colin Farrell's moustache and some guns. It's not really Miami Vice but for the sake of coming up with an original title, they went with it. Actually, I kinda like that, it's laziness played to perfection. There will also be an unrated edition with seven extra minutes tacked on and both will be available on December 5th, the date in which other cool flicks will be hitting the shelves.

Accepted - November 14

ACCEPTED has cool dude Justin Long opening his own college after being rejected numerous times from other, more established colleges. As JoBlo put it, (read his review HERE), wait for DVD and even then, skip right by it and head to the porn section (okay, I made that last part up but JoBlo would agree). The film will be in anamorphic widescreen with an English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround track, and include some deleted scenes, and a gag reel.

Bones (S1) - November 28

David Boreanaz, after his stints on Buffy and Angel, got another gig as FBI agent Seeley Booth (great name!) with sidekick cutie Emily Deschanel to find answers to the FBI's most bizarre cases like, who the hell would release a Screech porno tape? That, is the biggest mystery of all.

Includes:

  • Commentary with actors David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel on "Woman in the Tunnel"
  • Second commentary on "The Man in the Bear"
  • Bones: Inspired by the Life of Forensic Anthropologist & Author Kathy Reichs documentary
  • Two featurettes, Squints, The Real Definition
  • Character profiles
  • Trailers
