Lady in the Water - December 19

When I first heard about the LADY IN THE WATER concept, it reminded me of a Mitch Hedberg: You know when they show someone on TV washing their hair under a waterfall, that's f*cking bullshit man, 'cause that thing would knock you on your ass. If you found a mystical, aquatic creature in your pool, your ass would be hauled off to some secret location by guys driving in black vans for aiding and harboring a mystical, aquatic creature with the intention of bringing down the government and exposing the truth about Area 51. Or maybe I'm just a pessimist. LADY will be available in separate Widescreen and Full Screen editions the film is presented with English, French and Spanish audio (Dolby Digital 5.1 EX) and subtitle options. Extras are not yet available.

The Last Kiss - December 26

THE LAST KISS looked good from what I saw of it, which is amazing considering how huge my goolies are, so huge in fact, they swing side to side like a massive pendulum. Maybe that's a testament to Zach Braff. Or maybe it's ex-Real World hottie, Jacinda Barrett. In any case, definitely looks like a good movie to enjoy around the holidays, considering the date of its release. No extras yet, but stay tuned.

Haven - December 26

I don't know much about HAVEN but it does have Legolas in it, which should make my lady friend happy. This was actually released in 2004 at the anti-JoBlo Festival (otherwise known as the Toronto Film Festival) and had a limited released in the States last month. Also stars Bill Paxton as a "shady American businessman". Now that's redundant isn't it?

  • English Dolby Digital 5.1 audio track
  • Making-of featurette
  • Trailers for The Illusionist, Winter Passing, and Find Me Guilty

SNL: (S1) - December 5

SNL nuts have been looking for this for a long time and they won't be disappointed with the first season set that includes a 32 page Limited Edition Photo Book with Rare SNL Photos of the Cast and Lorne Michaels and also each cast members' screen test, which could be pretty fun. Could be. Hey, it's better than anything SNL is putting out nowadays.
