It's getting close to that time again, when a select group of television aficionados get together to assemble a list of the most impressive television productions and performances of the past year. The 2016 Emmy Award nominations were announced today and, as per usual, it seems to be comprised of the typical recipients with maybe only one or two surprises among the newbies. HBO's Game of Thrones scored nearly two dozen nominations across all the categories with The People vs. O.J. Simpson coming in close behind.
