Frost/Nixon Trailer!

Ron Howard is one of the few directors in Hollywood who can sell a movie based on his name alone. Good thing too, since his latest FROST/NIXON has no A-listers (Sorry Kevin Bacon, you miss the cut by a country mile) and recounts a historical event unfamiliar to most. For those of you familiar with film's plot, you already know that this isn't a straight Nixon biopic a la Oliver Stone's NIXON, but rather an examination of the series of notorious post-Watergate television interviews between British talk-show host David Frost and the disgraced president. The trailer is one of those classic light-hearted-turned-dramatic-midway doozies that seem to get me everytime. Consider me intrigued.

Extra Tidbit: Lead actors Frank Langella and Michael Sheen were also the leads in the theatrical production that the film was based on.

And once again, a Clint Mansell score from a Aronofsky film is used for a trailer.

This looks pretty good, except for Langella's Nixon impression. I like Langella but it's not doin' anything for me.

Frank Langella is one of my fav actors so for him alone I'd watch this. I mean he's fricking skeletor!

WOW, they didn't even try to make Langella look anywhere close to Nixon. In my opinion, when you portray a well known historical figure, if you don't come close to the physical characteristics, you lose a certain level of credibility. I don't care how good the acting is.

Frost looks pretty much dead on! The guy that plays Frost, Michael Sheen, is the same guy from the UnderWorld movies.
