If you\'re anything like me and like to really get \"fanboy\" when you watch certain movies and actually drink White Russians as you follow the dude\'s adventures in THE BIG LEBOWSKI or Rum & Cokes when you watch THE TRAILER PARK BOYS-- well, okay...maybe I just have a drinking problem -- you\'ll dig what the folks at MGM decided to do in honor of the FARGO SPECIAL EDITION DVD release. On September 25th, they presented the city of Fargo, North Dakota with a wicked cool wood-chip statue of the one and only Marge Gunderson, as well as playing host to an Arby\'s Junior Roast Beef sandwich eating contest (if you know the movie well, you\'ll know what that\'s all about), and awarding special prizes to all the Marges in the audiences. Doh!

Yes, the Arby\'s connection sounds about as commercialized as the Fedex connection in CAST AWAY, but what-the-heck...it sounds like it must have been a pretty fun day to me, and if I wasn\'t drunk myself, I\'d definitely have driven down in my burnt umber Ciera, gotten a local trooper pregnant and eaten about as many pancakes as I could fit into my \"heckya mean?\" fat ass!! \"So, uh, you married old Norm son-of-a-Gunderson?\" Great line. Anyway, check out some of the pics from the event below, as well as the DVD\'s extra features.

  • New documentary: \"Minnesota Nice\"
  • Interview with the Coen Brothers and Frances McDormand
  • Audio commentary with director of photography Roger A. Deakins
  • Behind-the-scenes photo gallery
