28 Weeks trailer

03.27.2007

28 Weeks Later For all the hub and resulting bub that's been made of 28 WEEKS LATER, the sequel that finds American forces moving into the aftermath left by Danny Boyle's original zombiefication of London in order to carry out Operation: London Zombie Freedom but finding that somehow their presence only worsens the situation possibly due to zombies being mindless drones who wouldn't know freedom if it crawled out of their decaying eye sockets and bit them, via various media events generously sponsored by Fox Atomic, we've yet to feast our rotting corpse loving eyes on a trailer. Fortunately for all intimidatingly mobile zombie lovers, however, the situation has been rectified and a trailer in glorious quicktime has made its way over to Apple. The high speed feasting of flesh begins May 11th.

It actually looks good..

Strange, but I'd be game to see this film even without zombies.

I liked, but

I sort of wish they'd not include the Zombies, as crazy as that sounds. I was digging everything until the requisite zombie shots came in and sort of sullied it for me. I can't really think of someone bringing in the zombies as artfully as Boyle did, by creating this devastating apocalyptic setting and then slowly making it worse and worse. The scene in Days that really made it all work for me I think was the scene where Cillian goes to check on his parents. It's such a brilliant way to amp the

It's such a brilliant way to amp the zombie thing up by getting rid of family, and making the bond between the survivors less sentimental and more involving. I don't know if that made sense, but the sequel seems like it might be ok, if not unneccesary.

The trailer kicks ass

I wasn't "feeling" this movie at first, but after seeing the trailer, I'm actually looking forward to see it in theater.

oh, so what do you guys call the people in Resident Evil who got infected with the T-Virus? Oh, and don't forget about Dead Alive. I believe it was just a contagion there too from a sumatran rat monkey, and you all still call 'em zombies.

Face it guys -- zombie is just a blanket term to describe any mindless freak who cannibalises others, whether living, dead, or otherwise (the eater, that is). That said, I'm lookin' forward to this one big time.

and mirakle....if they're not feasting on

and mirakle....if they're not feasting on flesh, what are they doing when they bite someone and tear big chunks of skin and muscle off, hmm?

PS -- nobody mention hannibal lecter or the guys in Ravenous, okay? They weren't mindless, just very insane -- huge difference.

Yeah, the thing is though, they are not Zombies. They don't have to die, they just get infected. Zombies are the Living Dead. The infected are not dead, just insane. But I can't wait for the movie. Only movie that is coming out in May that I expect to be good. And no I didn't forget about that crapfest excuse they call a Spider-Man movie.

as much as i hate AICN, i think they have the phrase "glorious quicktime" trademarked or something, so you should probably give them credit

Big meh

So it looks like they took everything original and exciting from 28 Days Later, through it out and tossed a huge budget at it to see if anything would stick.

But I too defend Robert Carlyle.

Cool

I really enjoyed 28 Days Later. And this trailer looks pretty awesome. And you really can't go wrong with Robert Carlyle, he just rocks.

Well, colour me surprised, I'm actually looking forward to this after seeing the trailer. When I originally heard the idea of US soldiers coming in to help, I was extremely skeptical, but this actually has me--gasp--yearning to see a sequel.
