Will Ferrell clips

We've said it before, but we'll say it again: we love Will Ferrell! The man rocked on SNL, kicked ass in many of his small roles in various movies in the past few years and has now officially hit the big-time with his star-making turn as the man-child in ELF. Dreamworks is playing this one brilliantly by starting to market his next feature, ANCHORMAN, very early (today), despite it being scheduled for release on July 9, 2004. Below is the poster to the film, which is also co-written by Ferrell and directed by his SNL buddy Adam McKay, as well as its plot outline and even more importantly, links to 3 very funny rough-cut Quicktime clips from the movie. If you want to see the clips in other formats (but why would you?), check out the film's OFFICIAL SITE here. The film also co-stars Christina Applegate, Vince Vaughn, Paul Rudd and a host of others (read: SNL alums) If you like Ferrell, you gotta check 'em out pencil this flick onto your "looking forward to" list.

Will Ferrell stars as Ron Burgundy, the top-rated anchorman in San Diego in the ‘70s. When feminism marches into the newsroom in the form of ambitious newswoman Veronica Corningstone (Applegate), Ron is willing to play along at first—as long as Veronica stays in her place, covering cat fashion shows, cooking, and other “female” interests. But when Veronica refuses to settle for being eye candy and steps behind the news desk, it’s more than a battle between two perfectly coiffed anchor-persons…it’s war.
