2nd Sweeney poster | Movie News Tim Burton's upcoming Johnny Depp starring SWEENEY TODD: THE DEMON BARBER OF FLEET STREET is coming closer and closer to expertly styling our hair then taking a straight razor to our throats and gutting us like dead fish. Meaning, it'll soon be in theaters and to that end, new marketing media is slowly creeping its way onto the internets. One of these, the right-pictured new poster, was recently uncovered by David Poland and posted in high res glory over on his unusually conflagrated blog. It's a simplisitic poster, though atmospheric in a typically Burton-esque manner, and the tagline is a little too generic but if Warner Bros. doesn't do a little creative butchering of their own, we should all be in for a good time come December 21st.

Extra Tidbit: According to those who claim Todd really existed, he was tried at the Old Bailey and hanged at Tyburn in January 1802, though no record has been found of this anywhere.

The other poster was OK (although the image of him and Bonham Carter did more for my anticipation) but this poster is just perfect.

Great Poster
Well it's a great poster, yet to see the first poster. Looking forward to see the film, that is if they keep it with it's R rating.

The other Poster of Depp sitting in a chair was far better than this, but I still really want to see this movie. Assuming, of course, the WB doesn't water it down for the masses.
