The odds that I'll be seeing this travesty are virtually zero, so I don't care.

Man-Wolf and or the HULK! may as well bring the two film franchises together for Spidey's last installment.(I'm willing to bet it will be the final.)

I Know!

How about the executives at Marvel and Sony for the dumbest idea since the shot by shot remake of Psycho.

*I* think...

...they shouldn't even make the movie. Like, at all.

Kraven

Bring in all the animals, Rhino, Vulture, Lizard etc etc. Then bring in Kraven in the second film and let him hunt all the animals down. Could be interseting enough for Spidey.

do they really need to make a reboot? the first 2 movies were great. Just remake the 3rd and start from there

I really don't see the need for reboots at all, why can't we simply have the next Spidey adventure, regardless of who's playing the characters?

I don't know why people have such a hard-on for either Venom or Carnage. All they do is threaten to eat your brainssss while never really following through with the threat, or turn their hands into big slicing/stabbing weapons so that they can kill en masse. With huge dollops of terrible CGI, no doubt.

Old school villains all the way, Spidey's got plenty to choose from before they go down the route of "Never Actually Eat Your Brains Man" or "Psycho Serial Killer Who Doesn't Even Really Fit

Terrible characters, the pair of them.

Bring on the "Thumbs Down"!

Read Warren Ellis' "Thunderbolts" run for a Venom that actually makes good on his threats (though not toward Spider-man, granted).

Does that feature the Eddie Brock or the Mac Gargan version of Venom? The latter, I'm guessing? That guy isn't Venom - bring back the Scorpion. :)

No Villain

What if a judge sentences him to babysit a delinquent kindergarten class on a trip to Las Vegas. How funny would that be? He doesn't always have to beat the crap out of somebody.

No Love For Electro?

Seriously, he's one of Spidey's oldest and most powerful rogues. Seeing him on screen would be an absolute thrill.

Let's see villains we haven't seen (This isn't the Superman franchise)...Kraven and The Lizard would make for an interesting story.

Chameleon

There's only one villain that makes sense for a reboot--the first super-villain Spidey faced, Chameleon. If they're going to restart the franchise that's the way to go.

You cant have venom until at least the second film, and you cant have carnage until after venom, and lizard is no good unless you develop a decent history between peter and dr connors and the studios wont do green goblin or doc ock so soon after the last few films so its got to be either mysterio or kraven for me =).

Lizard. Do it like Batman Begins if they really want to reboot. Ease the audience back into the series with fresh villains before bringing back familiar foes.

Just wanted to point out they can't have Venom in the first one cause the black suit must come into play. Itd be too soon for that

I chose Lizard but I could see the appeal of choosing Electro or Venom. Venom would be nice because I thought they really f'd things up in the 3rd one by casting Topher Grace and not someone a little more realistic to be the villain.

Electro

Are we forgetting that Pete is in high school this go-around? That being the case, I say electro. Maybe green goblin, but we don't want to repeat the last series. Maybe if they handled it like USM where multiple villains were born from the same incident at Osborn. But I could see electro working in the same capacity as scarecrow in batman begins, maybe with another villain thrown in because electro's kind of small time compared to others. No Venom, because A) He was just in a freaking movie B)

If people complained about the way he was handled in SM3, imagine how they'd react if the symbiote story and venom as villain were crammed into a single movie again, not to mention it's the first of the series (and possibly another origin story, though I would hope not)

Scorpion

He would make a good movie villain because he hates Spider-Man for getting him trapped in his suit.

Mysterio

I feel like some of the choices need at least one film back story to set up the relationship to Peter Parker/Spiderman, and I personally don't want to see a villain that we have already seen. Some of the others are just mindless villains that I can't see an entire movie based around

I'm kind of clinging to the idea of Chameleon, but despite being the first Spider-Man villain, he's probably too obscure to be a big box office draw. So, I voted for Other, but my second choice would be Electro, who would be cool and easy and something we haven't really seen before.

How is the Lizard gonna be featured if Peter is still in high school, the Lizard should be in the sequel. Venom doesn't need to make an appearance, especially if he was just featured in Spider-Man 3. Electro sounds good to me.

No Enforcers?

I wouldn't mind seeing Scorpion duke em out with Spidey if it was say...in the next TEN years! I'm not down with whole reboot idea. Not at all, but if I had a choice it would be somebody powerful but not too high class or at least not yet. Enforcers wouldn't be a bad choice either. As long as they don't use the same villains in the same order as before I'm fine.

VENOM ...

... the reboot has to be strong and Venom is the obvious choice. Plus setting up ground for Carnage for the sequel.

Why the hell is Doc Ock so low? He was Spidey's main villain till Green Goblin tossed Gwen Stacey off the bridge. Venom is my fav but I'd prefer a classic villain with maybe King Pin thrown in

I picked Carnage, but it have to be a rated R Spider-man which is impossible. :(
