725 mil

i figure it will average about 20 mill for the next 5 weeks then it will make 20 mill total after that once 'blockbuster' movie season rolls on in. And i dont see it winning the oscar and getting that extra boost, Cameron will but no best picture.

I highly doubt that considering the main reason it's rolling over the competition now is because there is none, it's hollywoods garbage season, January and Feb has always been Hollywoods dumping season for anything they have little confidence in or stuff that played poorly in test screenings.

Dude! You must have failed maths in school. Its already up to $600M and made $30M this week-end. Its cant only make $50M to $75M more until the end of its run.

Skellington

Dude! You must have failed grammar in school! "Its cants only make $50 to $75 more until the end of its run." Rewrite that sentence then slam philalva77 for posting his opinion. And while you can, on occasion, say "maths", simply saying math would have been the proper thing to do.

as soon as the oscars come around, Avatar will get a short spike in ticket sales and then it will drift away. it could definitely reach the 700M, to 1 BILLION range

It'll be in the top 5 until at least Alice In Wonderland takes it out of the Imax screens. Wolfman and Shutter Island are the only 2 flicks i see knocking it off the top spot, possibly Valentines Day. so another $150 maybe even $200 mil isnt a far cry
