Where the hell is Frankenweenie?

And by the way, Burton is highly overrated. Ed Wood and Beetlejuice where the bomb though.

Not to have a go at Burton, but I kinda wish he'd work with someone other than Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter - that's all we seem to get from him these days. I like them both as actors, but stick them in a Tim Burton film and it's 'seen it all before' as far as I'm concerned. Burton needs to throw us a curveball with his next movie to keep it interesting. Mars Attacks got my vote because it's properly messed up in a good way.

I'm not sure what's going on in Burton's head lately but I don't like it. Alice looks like he just recast Sweeney Todd and took his trademark design to Wonderland. The CGI looks awful too. I hated Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, could care less for Sweeney Todd and I'm getting that shit feeling for Alice as well.

I still love Burton and I hope he can go back to doing some original work.

Sleepy Hollow, hands down, as a favorite.
It's also the last good movie he made, as far as I'm concerned.

Absolutely! SH gets a re-watch every Halloween around our home.

Loved his 1980s work too...I didn't realize, until looking at this list, that I haven't really liked ANY of his films since SH. Bummer. Makes me fear for Alice.

Batman?

For those voting for BATMAN, have you watched it recently? I LOVED that film when it was first released, but upon re-watching it....brrrrrrr. Doesn't really hold up too well, especially the Prince dance sequence shit...

Oh definitely. Batman and Batman Returns have aged quite poorly. Batman Returns is less aged, but give it time.

Love Ed Wood

Have to assume the Planet of the Apes vote was for sarcasm purposes, can't imagine anyone enjoying any part of it.

I didn't submit a vote, because I can't choose between Batman, Beetlejuice, and Edward Scissorhands. So I'm voting for those 3. But really, they are all great. Love Tim Burton.

Of all time...

Edward Scissorhands and Sweeney Todd not that far behind, but every Tim Burton film has a special place in my heart, the man is a genius.

Well...

For those films I picked Edward Scissorhands. I love that film.

But for any movie he's been attached to my all time favorite Burton film is The Nightmare Before Christmas. He may not have directed it but he wrote the story. Lots of memories from that one, and Jack is a BA

Burton Fan

I'm a Big (metaphorically speaking) Burton fan and I am with Ed Wood all the way. That was his masterpiece in my opinion. I pretty much like them all though except for Mars Attacks.

It works because underneath the weirdness are some very sympathetic human characters. Something he often misses underneath the weight of style and effects in many of his movies.
