I think this is what they ment about the Rise and Fall of something. X-men 1 got us familiar with the characters. X-men 2 was something so special that had something for everybody, and last we have X-men 3 I wanted to scream at how they could destroy something so good, so fast.

X2 HANDS DOWN!

This was the perfect enssemble and worked in so many levels, solid cast, awsome action and one of the best endings to a comic book film.

It's good to see X2 in first. It's such a great comic book movie, and I'd rank it over TDK any day.

It's also good to see that stupid hype splash from TDK finally going away. Has there ever been a more overrated film?

Batman Begins for me. Dark Knight was a better version of the older Batman movies, a mix of batman's story and the villian's story. But Batman Begins had bruce wayne at the center of the story, and really dived into his psyche.

That's what is great about begins is its about bruce's quest. When is he gonna become more of a detective and scientist like he is in the comics. Their was so much going on in TDK that bruce got lost in the shuffle.

I voted for Dark Knight but am not at all disappointed to see X2 at number 1, it's an amazing film. The opening scene is the greatest opening scene in any movie ever and it makes no sense that that character (Nightcrawler, if you don't know..) will never be in another film. Hellboy 2 is the most under-rated.

The key word here is favorite comic book "superhero" movie. Otherwise I would have voted for Sin City without a doubt, with honorable mentions going to The Crow and V for Vendetta. Out of the options on the list I had to go with Iron Man. Yeah, I actually prefer IM to TDK. Deal with it.

Donner's Superman is the superhero movie formula everyone has been following for 30+ years now.

There's a reason for that.

I like the list of heros to choose from but your def. missing Frank Castle. Now granted the last Punisher movie was for lack of a better word crap with a crappy story, and frank was left with just ruffing up mo fos left and right. It was not a good follow up to a first movie that left you wanting more. So with that being said im saying that you should have added the original Punisher with Thomas Jane not the oringinal, original with Lundren. Anyway The First Punisher movie really touched on the

Daredevil..

Now that I have your attention.

I'm not saying Daredevil is the best comic book/superhero movie, at all, I'm not even saying it should be close to top ten BUT...

Having recently watched the Blu Ray of the completely revamped Directors Cut, I'm not ashamed to say I quite enjoyed it.

I probably should be ashamed to say it, but I'm not. Other than the silly playground fight, I thought the rest of the movie was quite enjoyable and a hell of a lot better than what was in theaters and I

Other than the silly playground fight, I thought the rest of the movie was quite enjoyable and a hell of a lot better than what was in theaters and I urge those who have only seen the theatrical or haven't bothered with it due to all the negativity surrounding it, to give it a watch sometime. Only the Director's Cut that is, which I believe is the only version released on Blu Ray (both versions were released on DVD however).

Daredevil is my favorite comic book character and a horrendous, horrendous film. There's nothing that can be done to redeem that film. Unless the CGI Daredevil is removed, and Colin Farrell is recast, and Ben Affleck is recast, and basically the entire movie reshot, there's nothing that can save it.

The bar fight does rock indeed. The body surfing is awesome.

I dunno, I think the origin part was handled quite well with him and his dad. I think there was quite a bit of experimental camerawork and some of the sound was fantastic. Favreau was great as Foggy (especially now he has screen time).

I just think the whole thing looks exactly like a moving comic book.

I think X2 is a great comic book film that is probably that is one of the best ever created.Yet, I can't help but feel that everytime I see the film I just get so bored halfway through the movie. Actually once the Wolverine and the mutants escape the mansion I don't reallty feel like seeing it anymore. The same thing happens with Spider-Man 2. The Dark Knight, Iron Man, V for Vendetta, and Constantine I can watch over and over again and really should of been on this list..

Superman (1978) needs more love.
It's been over 30 years and it's still the standard for what a Superman film should be.

My Top Ten:
Honourable Mentions: Unbreakable & The Incredibles (not officially "comic book" movies)

10. Batman
9. Iron Man
8. The Crow
7. Batman Returns
6.Spiderman 2
5.Batman Begins
4. Superman Returns
3. X2
2. The Dark Knight

Nice, glad to see people still like X2. I was worried everyone had forgotten this film. Especially after Spider-man 2 (the best comic book film to date), Batman Begins (overrated), and The Dark Knight (excellent but not the best comic book film) came out.

Hellboy II: The Golden Army and Batman Returns are underrated films.

As of today , it's Kick Ass! I haven't enjoyed a movie based on a comic this much , since Spiderman. Don't get me wrong, most of the list above has been good , but none of em ever fully did it for me. BTW Constantine should be up there. I know it was very different from the comic, but it still rocked!

There should have been a "More Than One From This List" selection.

I could name five superhero movies from this list that I favor, and not one of them is a Batman movie. Wellllll...if I were doing six or more, it'd be Batman Returns, but nothing from the Bale/Nolan canon makes my favorite lists (save film villains).

The only reason X2 is #1 right now is because almost everybody knows TDK is the best superhero movie ever so thats why TDK is #2.

TDK IS THE ONE TO BEAT

Most on the list are really good thought. I may be in the minority here but BATMAN BEGINS is really coming back around for me. TDK wouldn't be as good if it didn't do all the heavy lifting and Gotham looked more like it should in Begins.

To make this more interesting, The Dark Knight should have not been an option because clearly that is going to be the clear favorite. It's a great movie, but it would have been interesting what people would have chosen instead of The Dark Knight.

The Original

Hate me all you want fanboys, but I enjoyed the original Tim Burton Batman the most. Keaton was such an out there choice for Bruce Wayne, yet it worked. Jack was great as the Joker. It was fun and campy, which is what comic books are, so the movies should be that way as well. Enough of this grounding superheros in reality. Comics are a fantasy world. That being said, I will still put IronMan over TDK any day of the week. Hate me all you want DK lovers, the only great part about the movie was

The Dark Knight. I've watched that so many times and can literally put it in at anytime of the day at any scene and watch it. It's so amazing and got snubbed by the Academy for best picture nom. Can't wait for Kick-Ass Friday!!

The oscars hate superhero's only reason heath won is because he died. Chris Nolan should have gotten best director and best picture does anyone even remember what won or what else was nominated.
