2004 Paramount 1/2

Our week of upcoming movie previews continues (is it Christmas yet?), with PARAMOUNT PICTURES vying for their share of next year's box-office dollars with about 15 releases, some of which are obvious teen-oriented scrap, while others seem like they might actually be pretty damn good. At the lower end of the totem pole, I would place a couple of films that were supposed to have been released last year (always suspicious) like AGAINST THE ROPES and THE PERFECT SCORE, while the top end would include THE MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE, SKY CAPTAIN AND THE WORLD OF TOMORROW and STEPFORD WIVES.

A few others might be sleepers as well, including Jim Carrey and LEMONY SNICKEY, a bunch of hottie chicks in MEAN GIRLS (written by SNL's Tina Fey) and SUSPECT ZERO (from the director of SHADOW OF THE VAMPIRE). Whatever turns out to be hot or not, one thing is for sure next year: Jude Law will be in about 18 different movies!! Check 'em all out below and stay tuned to our site in the New Year for the launch of our extra-special new UPCOMING MOVIE PREVIEWS section. Enjoy.
